In March 2021 I was thrilled to be picked by Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis to be one of his 6 weekly winners of his #SBS Twitter competition.
I had to wait nearly a year for the winners event at the ICC in Birmingham, but last week I finally got to meet him and received my award.
Theo has been supporting small businesses for over 11 years now. He started the competition in 2010 when he had the idea of using his Twitter platform to promote them to his following.
Since then he has received 450,000 entries making my business 0.8% of entries that actually won.

There are now over 3500 winners and growing, but what that impressed me the most was that 76% of the winners are female, that's girls power right there!
The event was incredibly inspiring as I no only got to hear from Theo, but his special guests too.
First up was Rachel the founder of Tiny Box Company who spoke about her experience of appearing on Dragons Den and how her business has thrived since.
Then there was a talk by Debbie Lewis from Natwest Business banking who spoke about the power of a positive mindset which was fabulous.
Theo then did his annual fireside chat with Dragons Den star Touker Suleyman where he chatted about his businesses and investments throughout the years.
Other that meeting Theo, my favourite part of the day was getting to meet in person all the wonderful winners who I had only ever spoken to online.
